Thanks Christopher,..this is my 1st. go round with 12V. so I don't have any real World experience with them. I bought a 2 GPM 60 PSI Delavan to use as a chemical applicator for certain jobs. Don't trouble yourself with the MSDS,.What you said about others have done,.. and yourself is enough to make me feel more comfortable with doing it once in a while,...won't be done that often. Yes,..I believe you on the rinsing thing.
*Out of curiosity and to possibly learn something new,... Trying to figure out how many oz. NAOH per gallon of water equals a 20% solution. Digging around online at calculations made me remember why I failed math numerous times,Ha,Ha,..
Through searching the board I found this: "One pound of Caustic/ Sodium Hydroxide Beads or flakes (99% strength) in one gallon of water will make the solution about 11% Sodium Hydroxide."
If this is the case, I should be good,..I never use NAOH at this strength. I use about 8 oz. per gallon at most.
Viton is rated fair for NAOH at 20% and Santoprene is rated excellent.
Thank You,
Jeff
