Want to see a dirty fan?

Here is a job I did very recently. Thought I would show off my work. Shame on the other company who was in just three weeks ago. I am guessing about 3-4 years of build-up on this system.

Manager kept saying "I just don't understand it, they were just in a few weeks ago."

This company is a joke! I don't understand why nobody seems to want to take some pride in their work. It doesn't matter what the industry, someone is always looking to lie, cheat, and/or steal for an easy buck. Oh well, more worky for me!

P.S.- sorry the after pic is still a little steamy! We use only the best equipment. The Superduper Steam-o-matic- 28 gpm/14,000 psi/490 degree heat- it gets the job done!

Is this for real or a joke? My 1500 psi 280 degree BCX works just fine. And my after pictures don't come out so steamy.

I believe that once true steam is generated (above 212°) that the pressure drops. 14,000 PSI seems like it would blow out most ductwork, and would probably shread all aluminum fans. and 28GPM is way more than I want to clean up after. That would fill a containment drum in 2 minutes.
I think someone is trying to pull our leg!

Parker, Great Job. Went there to eat last night and they told me all they had is cold sandwiches. They, said the hood cleaner blew the hood system apart. The cook likes the new skylight.

I'm sorry, my numbers on my pressure washer were a little off. I actually have the Super Duper Whooper Hooper Steam-O-Matic 5000. Specs are 82 gpm, (not 28) 41,000 psi (not 14,000) and the heater puts out 7 trillion BTU's.

Sorry, I guess my numbers weren't quite sarcastic enough in my first post.

Mikey,
I am glad you like the work! Not the clean hoods but the new skylight. If you ask me it adds just a touch of outdoor elegance with a gentle ambiance to the place. By the way I actually am not even a hood cleaner. When I go out and bid it is for adding new skylights to restaurant kitchens, not hood cleaning. Cleaning or obliterating the hood systems with my Steam-O-Matic 5000 is just an extra the restaurant gets as a perk. Maybe I should start chargin for that too!

Foregoing the sarcasm, I use 4gpm @ 4000 psi. Carry a smaller electric in the vans (2.5gpm @ 200 psi) for small jobs or where residential housing is close by. My picture is steamy because I was in a hurry and didn't wait long enough for the steam to dissipate before I snapped the photo!

I think someone reads too many books.

I saw that some people starting out wanted to buy some stuff... I got a
2750 psi @ 2.5 gpm ( Honda 5.5 GX ) for sale .
also 110v wayne burner and coil made into a hot box... with a flow switch.. The Coils . are only 1 year old. This thing set up with the little honda machine and 110v to power the burner puts out 2750 psi @ 2.5 gpm at about 200 degrees with a 3.5 nozzle.

Suprisingly enough the Super Duper Steam-O-Matic costs only $29.95.

However..... the tips are $16,000 for a set of three and I use up about 14 of them a night. (They wear out quick with that kind of psi) Good thing my vans bring in $1.4 million a year each! My average charge per job is about $8,900.00!

Last night I worked for two and a half hours and made just under $53,00.00. If the Steam-O-Matic tips weren't so expensive I might make a profit.

How much did it cost you to build that thing. It looks like a beast!!

Burner with coils and all about $500.00 ( Alkota / Wayne 110v Burner) 200 Dg
Honda Motor with Comet (Vomit) Pump ( $ 599.00 ) 2750psi@2.5gpm
Flow Switch ( $59.95)
Whip Hoses and such $25.00
3000psi pressure Guage ( $ 24.95)
And Alot of help form the Hotwater wizard on the wiring..

One thing I like About it is when you clean a hood it has alot of heat and pressure but not alot of water so it's easy to clean a 10ft or 12ft hood and catch 80% of the water in a garbage can.

Thank God I live in Mississippi I dont have to recover anything....Whew !!
So it cost a total of $ 1183.90 + 2 days of my high dollar precious time.

Nice work David.
I hate fans like that especially with no hinges.

The problem with peanut oil is you blast it from this side and you gotta go back and blast from the other side and wherever else it may have landed. Very time consuming.

John,

Nice web site, check your use of the word sale, as in "we sale" from your web site. Try "we sell" please don't take offense we love to see you post here.

Have a greaser day!

Dave

Matt, Chris,

Could either of you guys post that picture or the link from this forum that shows the two dogs with faces super emposed of our friendly CHDCA reps that enjoy posting here. That is the funiest picture of Josh and Rusty to date.
