I have notified the council via email.

Since I do not do ANY work in LA, I will be notifying the EPA personally. It is not fair if the city of Danville gets a fine and the city of LA dose not.

Of course LA dose not always follow the environmental rules.


Exceptions?

Just a note.... San Francisco is one of the few cities in the US that you can pressure wash or dispose of almost anything down the storm drain.

REASON: The storm drains in San Francisco do not empty to the Bay/ Ocean. All the storm drains all go to the sewer. I do not know if this LA location is the same as San Francisco. It is possible, being LA is just as old as San Francisco.

If that is the case, then no violation is present.

Only in Frisco. Can you imagine the cost of running all that rain water through the water treatment systems? They have inspectors here trying to find people that have their sump pumps or downspouts run into the sanitary sewers. They drop red smoke bombs down the sanitary mains and look for smoke coming out of the gutters. If you pull a permit for remodeling they work their way into the basement to see if you are pumping into the sanitary.
