White Wash on red brick

I have a condo complex to bid on. It has red brick on it. The gables are painted white. The white is washing onto the red brick. What would be the best way to clean it off. Would just power washing remove it? I'm going there in the morning to look at it. I will get some pics. Thanks

Do they want the paint to come off ,because when you put pressure on it most of the paint will come off of the brick.

Yes I would like to get the paint off the brick. So you think just power washing will work. No chemicals needed

Just be careful of the pressure. Brick is really porous and if you force water into the brick - it tends to come back out and brings along its friend, Efflorescence

If it's just smooth face brick yes most all of the paint will come off of the brick fairly easy ,you may need to put some chems on the tuff spots .

What kind of chemicals works best?

I used goof off spray from a can on white latex paint that was on red brick
Sprayed it on, let it sit for about 5 mins and was able to get it off fairly easy with moderate pressure .

I also tried with just power no chemical and the paint didn't budge.
Like anything else, try it first in a small area to make sure it does not affect the brick color.

The can gets used up pretty quickly.
