Whos is a member of Pressure Washers of North America?Does this help at all?

I wondered if joining "Pressure Washers of North America" would actually help my business?

Save your money. I found them to be a fly by night outfit that either didn't return calls or returned calls at 9pm. My call from the head guy was rude and condescending. I joined for six months, paid in full at the time, and have recieved nothing from them with the exception of past due notices for the next year that I have not signed up for. I would steer clear of them unless you have money to spend in return for nothing gained. Just my take on it.

Could I say that im a member of The Pressure Washing Institute?Could we come up with something for this?

I'm a member of the org, William is a freind of mine who hates Orgs.

Its not for all people and I would Join if you thought your marketing was going to be implimented.

They have a national Convention in Columbus and you can take advantage of this stuff. I know people actually came to the convention looking for contractors. That was pretty cool.

If your not going to use the org its worthless to join. Marketing the org in your business is the strongest benifit.

I belong to support the industry and work twords better customer representation. They will attend shows and be infront of customers this year, so next year when customers are asking why you dont belong rather than saying you support this will make a difference.

That would be great!I would be able to buy whatever I needed..I would be able to do this full-time.
 
Don't just look at large national org's. You are just starting out, start small join your local Chamber of Comm. No one built there business over night, like everyone else said get out and be seen

They want $500 for a mininum membership.How could this help me.I know this would help improve my business but, would this help my business income?

Dan you sound a little naive, I suggest you go to one of Rons/NCE Round Tables and get out and around other contractors and network and learn more about all this

Chamber or other such orgs are for networking with potential customers if you work it right you could make $500 back at the first meeting, thats if you know how to network & sell at all

Great advice from the king!!
 
My Chamber cost pays for itself every year plus. Joining and group or org will only help you if you us it. You have to make people think of you anytime they think about pw. Like Jeff said networking is what it is all about, that is what you are doing now. Your local chamber will get you seen by most of community leaders, realtors, pm, banks, rest and the list goes on. Most of the chambers will let you visit a meeting just not market until you are a member. You will meet alot of good that will also help you with you business, sign guys, rental companies, web guys, marketing groups.
The jobs are not going to just fall into your lap, you have to work hard at it. Find the areas you want to do for cleaning and go after them.
