OK, here's the story behind this picture, as sent to me by an old friend:
I live a little town north of Indianapolis, IN. My house is 100 years
old and my friend has one that was built right before the Civil War, we are not exactly sure how old it is. Anyway, he and his wife have lived there for about five years now. He works out of his house. He came to me one day and told me he thought he had experienced a ghost in his house. Naturally, I thought he was full of shit! So, I went over to his house to check it out with him. He told me that he has been hearing things for awhile, but
thought it was the house settling or his cat knocking stuff over. Scott (my friend) said that he really didn't pay much attention to it at first.
One day he was sitting in the dining room where he set up his work stuff, and he said he could hear a woman crying, but it sounded "far away". This kinda creeped him out! He said he got up to see where it was coming from. He thought it was coming from outside. When he walked back in the dining room he caught a glimpse of a figure sitting in the chair he was in! This scared the crap out of him! Scott has seen "her" several times since then.
Scott's neighbor had lived in the area for like 70 years! Mr. King
told Scott that the house was built for a newly wed couple. After the house was built the man was sent to serve in the Civil War. The lady waited every evening by the window for him to return. The guy got killed in the war and never did return. She, even after being told that he was killed, still sat by the window. Eventually she died sitting there of starvation. Mr. King said he heard that story from his Grandpa when he was a kid.
Like I said, I thought he was full of shit so I didn't believe him.
When I was in his house I felt a cold spot where he said he saw "her". Sufficiently freaked out by this, I gave Scott my digital camera to try and catch a picture of "her". I was watching the Travel Channel on day and they were doing a special on "Haunted something or other" where the so-called ghost hunters used digital cameras because they pick up electomagnetic fields or something like that. If you have ever looked through a camcorder viewfinder at a remote control you'll know what I mean. You can see the infrared image. He also has had a cassette recorder sitting next to hime every day to catch the "crying".
The picture at this link is the one he took. You'll have to look at it
for a minute or two to see "her", but she is there. Concentrate on the windows mostly. Don't stare at one single spot you kinda have to move your eyes around the picture. I see her out of my peripheral vision! Also, turn you speakers up and you can hear the "far away crying" It's very faint, so you may need you speakers a little louder then normal.
Anyway, for what it's worth here it is. I hope you see it!
