started around a cooker

HOUSTON – Authorities were investigating after a Mexican restaurant caught fire in southeast Houston on Friday.

Firefighters said they responded to a fire at the El Charro Taquerias near Harrisburg and Altic around 9:15 p.m. and found flames shooting from the kitchen.

They made a fast attack and got the fire out.

HFD said the fire started around a cooker in the kitchen, but were unable to determine the exact cause. That was under investigation by authorities.

All employees and customers got out safely.
