I have to do a house that is all redwood siding any suggestions on chems to brighten it back up? Do you guys always defelt befopre sealing in most cases?

I used an Olympic redwood toner stain (oil based) on a deck. I did two coats in one area that looked extra discolored. Now it is shinier then the rest and looks horrible . I tried to pressure wash it off to no avail. I then tried alittle paintthinner. Nothing. Any suggestiuons would be greatly...
