Landa Cyclone

Has anyone ever used the Cyclone from Landa? It is not adjustable like the waterjet and I am sure there are other nice features not on this model.

We had to rent a cyclone when our waterjet wasnt working (which is most of the time) In my opinion the waterjet being adjustable is not worth it. We use it for concrete and dont need the adjustable part. We have owned the waterjet for 2 yrs and the adjustable part strips out, we have ours ractchet strapped down.

As for the cyclone I would highly recommend it. We cleaned with it 9 hours a day for 5 days straight without a problem, it was a nice thourough clean and did not leave stripes. Its much quieter than the waterjet too.

My local Landa dealer asked me if I was using more than 180 degrees and if I was he wouldn't sell the cyclone to me because it uses a different swivel that won't work. That was in November. I don't know if anything's changed recently.

I have not used any of Landa's products but the cyclone is not rated as super heavy duty, below is a cut and past from catalog

The economy model flat surface cleaner,
Landa’s Cyclone is the price competitive

surface cleaner with many of the same design features that have
made the top-of-the-line Water Jet so popular.
The Cyclone’s non-adjustable spray bar also spins at 2000 RPM and seemingly
glides across flat surfaces riding on the evenly balanced tubed pneumatic tires
and swivel caster wheel.
The rotating bar is made of stainless steel with medium-duty sealed precision guide
bearings.
Other features include:
• Durable, rust-free polyethylene spray housing;
• Fatigue-free trigger handle turns unit on/off for operator safety;
• Tangle-free hose connection for ease of maneuvering; and
• Tri-lingual operating instructions for added liability protection.

The part # for the swivels are different.

Something that a lot of people do not know is that if you use the Big Guy like a lot of us do and also use the smaller units like the aqua force or classic by Whisper Wash then you can have the big tires added to the 24" unit for only like $50.00 more so you would have what they call the
"Little Big Guy" if you don't like the casters or don't want it to hover.

If I have large areas to do with cold water I use my 8gpm machine and the Big Guy.

If I have medium or small lots and/or need to use hot water I will use my Steel Eagle 24" or the Classic 19" units.

The Steel Eagle 24" unit is great and have had no problems with the Deublin swivel at all and it is 5 years old.

I had Steel Eagle make a longer handle for the top for those very long days so you are not hunched over and leaving your back sore the next day.

I just wish It was a little bit lighter like the Big Guy.
