Buy New or Rebuild

I have been really busy this month .. As you can tell I havent been around on here much.. I am trying to decide if I want to rebuild my whitco machine .. Probably going to get a new ts1511 pump, new winco generator (2000 watt )
Change out all the bypass hoses and coat my rusting water tank... Clean out the diesel tank, I already have spent 100.00 getting the burner overhauled..And also I am thinking about replacing the China 13 hp motor and putting a new Honda on it..( Like it came with )

Also on another quick note what would be the temp drop if you ran 5gpm thru a burner system designed for 4gpm ?? would it be that noticable.. Right now at 4gpm I get around 200 degrees..

If you have a 120V burner you should have more room to adjust the temperature via the fuel pressure and or nozzle size, with the 1 gpm increase you many not see a noticeable heat decrease if any.

I have a friend that has been using the Honda clones for many years and maybe 1 out of 5 will not last 3000 hours. Their quality is getting better but you have to watch out for the cheaper quality clones.

You can get a 13hp electric start for $299.00 just about anywhere. Most people I know that buy them run them until they die and then strip off the good parts and throw them away and just replace them for that price.

I have been told that the original Honda stuff like Mufflers, Carbs,
Pull-cord assemblies, etc... will fit the Honda clones so if those wear out quick or just do not last, get the real Honda parts and fix the weak links.
