Pressure Power Washing Cosmetic Cleaning BMPs
PWNA (Power Washers of North America, www.pwna.org) and UAMCC (United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners, www.uamcc.org) have now completed a program for reasonable, rational, and logical BMPs for municipalities based on the EPA’s Cosmetic Cleaning Model Ordinance on the EPA’s website. This was a combined effort of UAMCC and PWNA. The EPA’s Model Ordinance has been effect since January 2, 1996 with very positive results at almost no cost to the municipality. This program includes time tested BMPs with a Model Power Point presentation which Municipalities can use to develop their own BMPs. Charlotte, NC’s “Management of Wash Water Runoff from Pressure Washing and Vehicle Detailing” on April 30, 2009 which worked with UAMCC is shown as an example for others to follow. The BMP portion was presented by me, Robert Hinderliter.
All of this information is included on a DVD/CD which each municipality can use to modify and develop their own program. When you insert the DVD/CD in your DVD/CD Drive it works as a DVD, open it with Windows Explorer and it works like a CD and all of the reference files can be opened.
