The United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners is pleased to announce this year’s keynote and speaker line-up for the UAMCC National Convention located in Orlando, FL from October 22– 25. “Know Your Business To Grow Your Business” is a most fitting theme for our first national convention in which you, as an attendee, will appreciate and applaud the cross-section of business professionals that will be speaking at this years event. A cache of topics that address the fundamental approach of not just being a business owner but a successful business owner will be evident throughout the entire weekend.

As an attendee you can expect to be guided through a series of Business Building Sessions that will prepare you for some of your biggest challenges yet as a business owner. Establishing internal business systems all the way to mastering your sales skills is only a couple of the many Business Building Sessions in store for your growth. One of the nation’s top sales and business building experts, Mr. George Hedley, will deliver this year’s Keynote address. George’s compelling story and business aptitude will keep you on the edge of your seat with intrigue and a renewed compassion for you to succeed in the mobile contract cleaning industry!

Josh Frank and his Corporate Task Force of 5 Communication Experts will help you lead the way in being a better salesperson through the right communication with your customer base. As a general session topic you will be inundated and offered hands-on expertise by 5 communication experts whose primary goal is to improve and leverage your communication skills to help “close the sale”. Be prepared to roll-up your sleeves and interact face-to-face with Josh and his team.

To further drive the message of this year’s convention ~ “Know Your Business To Grow Your Business”, we also have on hand specialty topics that will spur your knowledge and expertise from the different market segments within the mobile contract cleaning industry. A galore of Building Business Sessions that specifically address SEO, Fleet Washing, Residential Washing Applications, Sealants and Coatings, Chemical Safety, Window Washing, Roof Cleaning and much more will be a fixture of information and training in Orlando. Learn from some of the experts in the industry that possess very helpful techniques that will help you improve your business services.

To help complete the Business Building Sessions, we are pleased to have William “Bill “ McKay from Direct Media, offer his in-depth knowledge and expertise from the direct marketing field. Understanding direct marketing campaigns can be difficult and costly at best. Whether you are deciding to do an email or snail mail campaign, Bill will elaborate and prepare you with the necessary tools and insight for you to have a successful marketing campaign. Merge purge, “seed” address, ½ price test, demographic selects, rent vs. purchase, update cycles, test lists and much more will all be point discussions at this Business Building Session your don’t want to miss.

As more interest continues to blossom in the community residential/HOA field, the UAMCC is fortunate enough to have a nation wide representative that will discuss what Community Managers/HOA Managers look for when hiring a pressure washing contractor. Mr. Mike Parade will discuss a proactive approach on how you can get your name in front of Community Managers/HOA Managers. Getting your name in front of the decision makers and keeping it there will be the focus of Mike’s Business Building Session. Ever wonder how some of the more successful contractors are able to keep a HOA client year-after-year? Mike will not only reveal how to do it but he will show you how to do it without stepping on your competitors toes!

We are aggressively pursuing speakers from the KEC and commercial market. It is our hope and belief that we will add these very important segments to the list of topics that are so important in the industry. We have reached out to several companies over the last several weeks and we will announce them once a final decision has been made.

Carlos, This sounds interesting. Will this be setup in a way that all the best speakers will be speaking at the same time? Sometimes it is a good idea to repeat their talk at a later time or another day.
This was a big problem with the PWNA shows, good stuff but all at the same time and trying to talk with them to adjust the schedules was like talking to a brick wall, no use, they don't care or listen.

Just wondering if these will be staggered so people will have the opportunity to hear them if they are listening to someone else at the time or will it be only one speaker at a time to the whole audience?

Do you see what I am saying here?

Thanks.

The convention is going to be great. Lots of stuff on how to improve and grow your business. Toastmasters Florida District 84 Corporate task force is a group of 5 expert speakers on the art of salemanship through better communication. This Task force in Florida is the only one in the country right now for Toastmasters, but is being put out to other toastmaster groups and will be going nationwide in 2009 - 2010. The goal is to improve the business climate for all businesses in this economy and into better economic times through better communication skills. Its an interactive presentation and I am real excited that Toastmasters is bringing it to the UAMCC Convention & Tradeshow. Just a few topics they will be presenting. Check it out this is going to be great

Sales skills that can be improved
Listening -- Don’t blow through buy signals, hear wants and sell into it

Presentation skills including involving the prospect, asking questions, getting interactive responses. Employing humor, clarity of purpose, trial closes, time management

Elevator pitches through table topics, clarity

Story telling skills intersecting with sales closing opportunities
Administration

Meeting skills -- Organization
Clarity
Execution
Staying on point
Agendas

Management Skills:
Evaluation
Praise, Constructive Advice, Praise
Better Organization
Motivating People

This is the kind of stuff from the one man operation to the operations with a sales force will learn and improve thier sales skill. Sales and quality work is what its all about. Your company have a sales force bring them to the convention & tradeshow be a good perk for them and they will go back energized to sell, sell, sell

Yep...that would be correct. UAMCC Rate of $99.00 for 18 holes and a cart :D

Do you guys have the dates that each speaker is presenting? Are the Keynote and General Sessions going to be the first couple of days?

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the UAMCC is fortunate enough to have Jim Foley, Diamond Jim's LLC Pressure Cleaning to do the Wood Restoration Business Building Session in Orlando.

Most of you know Jim - TOP NOTCH.

Jim - Thank you for offering your support in Orlando.

Great. Jim is a true specialist in wood an artist. For those that don't know Jim he is the guy to go to with exotic wood project problems. I know a few guys that have called Jim for high end exotic wood projects.I have met Jim a couple times, great, fun and smart guy. He also does other specialty stuff, marble cleaning and stuff like that

True artist.

He used to make some darn good wine too...lol

Got my father in law going to the convention, he's not into PWing, he figures George Headley and Toastmaster will help him in his business and all the stuff he's involved in with his church. Thats 5, plus me, that are going from Myrtle Beach so far

Who else is thinking about going. I know Ron will be in the house and a couple Florida guys and a few distributors from PWI will be going. Anyone else thinking of going to the PW Convention & Tradeshow?
