I bet theres alot of phone calls happening right now behind the scenes......I truly wish I knew the in's and out's of whats going on. I wanna join the uamcc but need to know more......Being someone new and small I sure don't wanna waste money. Carlos has been nothing but nice to me personally. He is the only one that has ask me to join. Just once.....No pressure which I personally like. I personally don't buy nothing on impulse......
I just wanna know more.
As far as money back thing ........I disagree. If someone pays, its their fault if it doesn't pan out like they would have liked. That's another reason I have personally not joined. I was pressured into joining the union as a fireman. I waited 15 months to do it so I could find out if its right for me or not. (It was)
I tend not to say much on here or other sites and sit and read. However this really has my attention.
I do have some ?'s
Do the transition team get paid? No they don't get paid and the future board of directors never get paid either
Does anyone get paid? The executive director does and will.
(I Personally don't care if someone gets paid for work.....if its within reason. I know that the tt has put in lots of work.) Its within reason for future ED's and now the ED way below reason
Are the books open to the members? Yes, we have an independent CPA that is working on that right now, he was hired about 2 months ago.
Are the books open to an audit? Yes, they have to be, theres many rules because the UAMCC is a non profit org
Are the phone conferences the tt has open to the members or just the transition team? No the calls are not open. There has been conference calls set up for members to ask questions
How much are members involed in the daily operation? I'm not sure what you mean daily operations. Do we hear from members daily? Usually, we have some member volunteers and committees that come up with ideas to impliment things. It is our hope when the new BOD is in place, there will be many committees, many volunteers.
If work is needed how is it forwarded to the members? On the website, contractor members get notified by the computer, its a program the sends out leads automatically. Contractor picks up to 3 states to srvice and the computer will send those leads, sample leads are sent out at times to make sure its working right.
The RFP's that come in from the RFP agent Go to everyone, by email and sometimes by a post on the BB
Is all work needed forwarded to all the members or just certain one's?
