I was looking for bulk suppliers of electrostatic media and came across this article.
It's a long article so here is the synopsis:
At the plant where these 20 ft wide rolls of electrostatic media are being cut, there is an area under the roll between where the roll comes off the main roll and the area where it is being cut that has an INVISIBLE WALL that a person cannot pass through! The electrostatic force is so strong it cannot be penetrated.
At the end of the article they speculate on the benefits of this turned on it's side so a person could stand on the wall.
I wonder if the same conditions couldn't be copied and made into a self generating machine that would rise and keep a certain distance above the ground. It wouldn't take much to propel it forward if none of the forward propulsion was devoted to lift.
