Time running out

maybe I should have started a new thread for it but anyway, in the thread about accessing a duct, I posted a reply that I would like you guys to look at, I have to call this guy by tomorrow and would like your input.

I can do that, but I think they have to be UL listed to meet NFPA standards, I could have the sheet metal guy down the street make one for me with all the characteristics of the NFPA approved panels, but I don't think that will work. I certainly don't want to open myself up to any more liability than I already have.
I called flame gard and the guy told me he did not think they could make one to my specification but would check.

I would think that they would be able to make one. Pricey I'm sure but it would be worth it.

I do not install them, (NM requires Lic) If access panels are needed I have customer to put them in. I bought a bunch of Duct Mate (I think) panels for a cust. once and wound up getting stuck with them. NO more, if they need them they install them. Of course I get stuck with what they install...:(

As long as its made of 18 gauge carbon steel or stainless steel and a high temp ceramic gasket it should be fine
