We just landed a deal to clean 50 of these. After the installation we come in and clean them up before they are released back to American Airlines for service. New FFA regulations are requireing a lot of them to be replaced around the country.

Are you doing anything to the inside or is it just the outsides?

Great job Danny!

And what needs to be cleaned?

The exterior is dirty when they get here, then there is a lot of debris on them from all the fittings, ductwork, electrical stuff that gets installed. The bottoms are especialy bad. There are tons of hydraulic hoses and electrical lines under it. Lots of greasy finger prints. There was a pretty good mess under it when we got done. The airport has a vacuum truck that runs around on the tarmac sucking up stuff, we had him drive under it to pick it all up.

And yes we did have to recover the water. Thats what got us the job. That and being insured.

I only done one of those and it took me forever. A hose had busted on a brake or somthing that looked like one and they just left it alone for about a year untill they had and inspection due to an injury. but we banked on the job
