Chris. How did your test turn out any after pics yet ?
Great slideshow Jim!
Is that the only product you used on the pavers?
Jim looks great
Well, here are the results...
This stain was caused bye a constint leak. This guys car is leaking major oil. He lives down the street from me and I noticed the stain a year ago when we moved in. And continues to park his oil leaker in this spot.
First application I applied the Bt200 at full strength. Brushed it in. Came back the next day and p.w. with heat.
I did the same two days in a row....
Just got off the phone with Chris. I am not happy with his results, to say the least. Am working on an answer for him.
I am a tuff critic but I have to say that I am impressed. I used it on one of our monthly accounts that we have had for a few months. The old oil spots that did not come out with Hot water and butyl degreaser came out and only left a small shadow in the concrete. I went out there at 8pm poured the Bt200 on at half strength and at 8am it was pressure washed. I am still up in the air if it is worth the product cost but the results where good.
I found an oil stain that I will be testing BT200 that Doug Rucker of Green Solutions has sent:
I will be following these instructions.
On Really tough Old Oil Stains:
Sometimes on really tough stains (say ¼ - ½” thick) the solvents have evaporated away and the oil is hard like taffy. You need to 'soften up' the stains before cleaning them. If you have 4 – 6 hours to wait, just apply the BT200™ full strength (after sundown in an exposed area) and let it sit on the surface overnight. If you are in a hurry, use mineral spirits (available at local hardware stores for $1/gallon or less) and pre-spray the stain. This will soften and liquefy the oil and make it easier for the microbes to digest. The microbes in BT200™ love mineral spirits like candy, so when you apply BT200™ to the surface after mineral spirits, the microbes just eat the spirits right up before they start on the stain. This is a unique way to use an inexpensive solvent in a safe way, to help you clean up the stain without adding to the pollution problem - because the BT200™ ‘eats’ the mineral spirits first, there is no residual to deal with. Mineral spirits will also soften gum, making it easier to remove and then the BT200™ will work on the stain left behind. As always, recover your fluids and put them down a sanitary drain and the BT200™ will continue to clean the hydrocarbons it encounters all the way to the water treatment plant
The pictures were takin before BT200 was applied. The product is on the stain, and will sit overnight.
Check here tomorrow for the results.
