It looks like I will be calling off a 45boom lift from a rental company on Monadays job due to rain in St. Augustine. I had a large tile roof to do and building. One day job.

My question is this is the first time I had to cancell a job with a lift. Have you pw have had any problems with rental companys do a cancell ?

I dont think I would have a problem as long as I can catch them before the drop off.

I've never had a problem. I think it happened to me once before but I've got my guys cell phone # . Having his cell # also came in handy on a job we were doing with one of their lifts and we got stuck 35ft over some trees when the lift decided to quit working.

Catch them early, I'm sure they will understand.

The cancellation policy should be on you rental agreement.

Bingo---They all think there doctors offices now and if you don't give them a few days before to cancel they'll look to take something from you unless your one money making customer for them.

Good Luck

Get ready it has rained for the last 9 hours here.

We just had a lightning bolt hit that almost threw me off my chair. :shocked2:

Larry Im pretty sure lightning hits the tallest thing around you dont have anything to worry about.

I live on the third floor. Hahaha!

We have had our share of delays because of lift failure and weather. I always try to schedule lift work for Fridays if possible, that will give you Sat,Sun free if something goes wrong.

when the rain clears and you get finished with the lift - make sure to call them to pick it up and to let them know you are finished with it.

We had a 3-day hire on a property that they tried to charge us 7-days for... booked it with a start and finish date, confirmed finish date on 3 or 4 occasions but they were saying that a call needed to be placed upon completion... :slap:

Hope the job goes well!

:duck:Larry you could be on the tenth floor and not get hit.

It wasnt a problem calling off the lift. I called the office at 6am and yard at 7am to make sure.

Nick I to like running the lifts on the weekends, mostly due to I having 2days to clean as long as I can keep it under 8hrs the lift company said it was fine. But the customer wanted on Monaday the holiday when the office is closed.

Thanks alot for the help,
I really hate to cancell any job and have only done it a few times do to the heavy rain or lighting. The lowest temp was pressure washed 2years ago when it was 22 degrees.
