I just picked up a new account, the concrete ranges in age from 15 years to 1 year old. The GM is anal about the oil stains (dark shadows from the oil) that have been there for years.
It finally got warm enough to do some flat work so I went and done a couple. I had already warned him we probably couldn't get the stains up in one cleaning for the price I quoted, that it would be a gradual process. (if they ever came up) I was at Lowes earlier that day to pick up some Mur acid just in case, In the same aisle was the paint thinners and such, I always always heard that Acetone, would remove grease and oil but never tried it. And I still haven't, but I did buy something else. The last drive thru I cleaned that night I got it out of the truck and just poured a little on the stain and walked back to the truck set the can down started my machine, by the time I got back to the concrete the stain was gone! I could even see where the stuff "splattered" cause those spots were clean. The kicker is it was raining so the strength of this stuff was cut. I need to try it a couple more times and try it on "dry" concrete before I say what it is. some of you might already know what it is. I just need to make sure it safe, and my eyes wasn't messing with me.
If it does what I think saw it will be a answered prayer and I will totally change the way I market flat work. I will keep you guys posted. I didn't have my camera but i will the next time I use it. I will keep you guys posted!
