Newbie hydroscrubber questions

Hi I`m a newbie and have just completed my first couple of 2000 sq ft tile roofs I just used water and 3ft wand
each roof took 9 or more hours, I`m exhausted and obviously need to get them done much faster.

I`ve hired a hydro scrubber to do my own roof and I may aswell have taken a hammer to my roof tiles smash smash smash !!!

I`m reluctant to try it on a customers roof for fear of retribution and litigation !!

are there any videos on how to use them properly & safely on tile or should I just stick to 9 hours with the wand

help !!

Another sc on a roof eh. And broken tiles. You will never see me on a roof with an sc unless it was flat and concrete. What you got to do is search for roof mix and use chemicals instead of brute force to clean. Like Russ said low pressure and chems equal less than an hour. There is a pwing for dummies book someone made on here and it has a bunch of recipies for roofs and some caustic recipies as well. I would suggest for you to not try to mix your own chemicals unless its a bleach and soap mix. Most of the guys on here are roof and flatwork guys so search and read. i read for about a year before i even signed up on this site. Good luck and i dont want to read about a guy who fell off a roof with a sc in his hand. Ps. please use gloves and eye protection when pouring or mixing chems.

What is a Hydroscrubber?

What is with the water and 3' wand?

Are you saying that you are using a pressure washer to blast the tiles and mold off roofs? I really hope not, we are here trying to raise the level of professionalsim throughout the industry, not promote damaging methods of cleaning.

I know that some of the vendors have pictures of surface cleaners on roofs but how much insurance do you have?

Does your insurance company cover you to use pressure to clean roofs?

Does your insurance company know what you are doing, more importantly, do you know what you are doing?

Does your insurance company have you covered for not only damage but potential leaks on the roofs you are cleaning since you choose to pressure wash them?

Do your customers know what you are doing up on the roof?

Are you being honest with them and telling them so they know? I bet if you told them and they know of the potential damage and potential leaks that could happen, I am sure that they would tell you to get off their property as there are much, much better ways to clean roofs that are not damaging, no pressure washing needed and no machinery up there that could rip and blast tiles off the roof.

Spend a few weeks or months on the bbs reading and learn a better way to do business so you are not potentially destroying people's roofs and houses so you don't end up getting sued, get in the paper for damaging property or get threatened by a homeowner with their weapon of choice for damaging their property just to make a quick buck.
