Large Wood Shingle roof

I have a large house that has a wood shingle roof. It is a pine, not cedar. I know we can clean it like a deck but it is a 8-12 pitch so the guys would be repelling to clean it that way. Is there a better way to do this the house is 6300 sq' plus a 3 stall garage. Any advice?

a bil-jax lift. Just used one a couple weeks ago on a 5000 sq ft cedar shake roof. Those kind of lifts you can drive instead of tow. They are also small and maneuverable so they don't tear up yards. I even used it a day after it rained. They are full articulating boom lift. The one I rented was a 45'er. I paid like $210 a day. Made the job a million times easier.

We always used a man-lift for shake roofs. Never wanted to walk on them no matter what the rigging was. Usually got a JLG from Sun Belt.
