I do want to say its important to be involved in any org.

If your Not Supporting a industry org of some sort you should be.

Supporting Customers or other in the industry are Very Important to your future and the entire industry.


I'm not telling you to go fork your money to anyone.

Look at it and see if they are good for you.

The way it was done at Tampa this year was great. Better than fighting over keys! (I was due though)

Also, Im about ready to crash a Boma meeting.

This Org is Run Private by two brothers and I must say they are great at it.

Ron,
With this type of attitude, you will never be a leader or force to be reckoned with in this industry. You need to refocus yourself and develop a legitimate business that can be respected.


Aw shoot, just keep doing what you are doing because you are, single handedly, having a larger effect on the pressure washing industry then any of the organizations.

You can find wrong in every single one of us somewhere.

If we are going to point fingers at every person that try's to improve the industry because of all this personal BS it is pointless. This board and all others are pointless! I leave for a while and come back and still the same silly child like mess. Why cant all of you grow up? IT IS ALL SO FREAKING STUPID!

Well I think your wrong and right.

Here's the wrong first, your making assumptions that someone has a personal chip on there shoulder. Thats the brain washing you have listen to from the puppets these people use. Hence you become there puppet, all the time you are told that your a minion of mine. You and I know thats the furthest thing from the truth. We always disagree!!! PERIOD You and I might be like oil and water....

See your in this thread assuming this is about the PWNA?

This thread is a consumer awareness about any org.

Just like if you have a customer shopping for washing, we have hacks and we know these hacks spoil work for us because they screw stuff up. You might think this is good for you? I don't know, I know that substandard contractors do damage to the industry witch in return affects my pocket book.

This thread is only negative if you look at it that way. If you look at it from a buyer stand you might say hey thanks for letting us know what we should look for.

Now instead of being on that Paranoid kick your on, make a statement thats positive.

Russ you and I manage to stay Friends, won't lie this has effected our friendship many different times in the past. I'm not a guy who goes with the loud obnoxious people who think they matter. I'm only on one team, my own. I careless if you support me PWI or anything else I do in the future. Truly you are the only one negative.

I will not hide facts, live behind rumors or rumors of rumors. COWARDS do!!!

I'll call org like I see them, I will be a smart consumer and will urge others to do the same.

Now instead of being so negative whining maybe you can tell us about any good experiences you have had with local org you belong too.

Russ maybe I'll start a thread next don't buy goods from a bad supplier.

Is it really being negative? are we here to help each other or candy coat the truth.

Maybe if we all stood for what's right and stop allowing people to get ripped off this would change.

I asked you to Join and org, you did. Have you renewed? I'll bet you have not, I'll almost bet your will never. Unless they put your balls in a vise on rfp's that you want to sink your teeth into.

Is it wrong or negative to advise your friends and BBS members about your experiences? Not in my book


You see I have problems with my business, I want customers to tell me about my Weaknesses. Also I have 27 years and no BBB reports negative or google reports I know of. WHy because I run a clean ship, does that mean we are problem-less? NO

How do people improve things? You ask your customers...

When and if I ever start something for this industry I will ask the customers how we are doing. I will ask opinions how we will improve things.

I'm sorry Russ for always being so hard on you. We just don't agree on most things.

Now, the reason I made this post was to tell people how to determine the right org?

Anyone have any positives?

I say join your local chapters and networking groups.

They have paid great dividends for me and my companies.

Here's something that was a great idea my best friend came up with after a local BNI meeting. We assembled a private group that we monitor each other on leads and meet once a month. We have actually funneled many gross dollars into each other projects. Its been the single best org related thing we have done.

Recently we sponsored a runner in a local charity hospitality group we belong too. We met around 100 GM & DM at the event, it was 250 bucks to have our name on the runner.

We are doing a breast cancer rally for PM in Arizona in Feb thru another org.

In feb we will be a silver Sponsor for Broker for kids, we will pre an post clean the event free for the KIds.

Choosing the right org and choosing the worthless ones could be the difference in your success.

I will talk a bit further into this because I learned this from a Local politician. I'll disclose his name, I have written other threads about his inspiration.
 
Boma seems to be good for what we do.

Otherwise, Russ, you are absolutely right. None of us are perfect. But we don't use official positions to come investigate guys who have helped them get members. Especially if those guys have done nothing more then been a square peg in a round hole. We don't use guys as subcontractors till we can replace them with our own guys.

Be careful that you don't let your good nature make you a mark.

You hold a position that is unique. You are respected nationwide, but the guys in the South look to you for guidance. They are too humble to admit it, but it's a fact. Be careful how you lead them.

Being in that position you need to make a choice brother. Make a chart. On the left, put up what Ron has been right on. On the right put up where he's been wrong. (BTW I'll help you get started....the felon crap goes in the WRONG column).

You really need to come out here and spend a few days getting to know Ron and seeing what it means to work in his backyard. And Scott. And Tom and all the other guys out here who work in each other's backyard yet help each other out. (AND ME TOO!)

Contrast that with the PWNA/DELCO?/Rashco/fill in the blank - and then you can make a rational decision. There is a big difference in what has been done and what people SAY they have done.

Remember how Carlos came to you with your "exclusive deal" on JITB? Imagine that on a larger scale and you have the other org. At least Carlos is working his A$$ off on the road cleaning and has proven himself to be one of us. The others have been doing the same thing for 20 years and won't even admit their own complicity on the debacle that caused Hilborne to resign. I have a lot more respect for Carlos than I do for those guys. At least Carlos had the balls to contact me to communicate.

You hold a unique position. If I were you I'd want to study all the angles before making a decision. If you make decisions based on what others have told you, you put yourself in the same category as your buddy Jim. If you study for yourself and make your own decisions you retain your respect within the community and your own self respect.

Russ, You are my brother. I wouldn't steer you the wrong way.

Good post Russ! But really no point in trying to make your point. It will just be taken out of context, in another direction in ADHD fashion till people are so confused they yell "Tater-Tot" when a dog barks.
