I have never turned in a Contractor

Today I was told I turned someone in for CWA violations. Let me make myself perfectly clear, this is not something I agree with or would ever do.

I do not like other org have suggested that this is what we should do to each other. Its not professional and not the way I practice business.

If you turn your competition is for CWA thats your business. I do not have to practice that way, plus I have plenty of business.

Don't need the head ache. Plus all the guys who have done this run each other out of business.

You think customers want to work with either person?

I wouldn't do it. Never. It would be better to reach out and teach them. plus People have family's

Some may not want the reach out, i say just keep to yourself.

I think people following people is the most ridiculous thing in the world.

Ridiculous for sure. What about someone calling someone elses customers from across the country? :canoodle:LOL

It's not right. CONFLICT OF INTEREST

It is not one contractors job, responsibility or business to turn in another contractor. It isn't fair to allow such a thing. I would be the one to get turned in and that's okay, because I will always do my best.

Yeah Jeff , I guess you got the point that orgs have no business in our biz.

Screwing people is no way to get ahead. Why be a "tattle tell" when they will get caught on their own. I believe in lifting others up and if they do well because of it I will be proud for us both. No man ever made it on his own and never will.

Being a rat in a large city like Houston will not ever help your business.

Turning in contractors thinking that the enforcement officers will return the favor or give you favors is not only not ethical but borderlines on illegal activities.

Being a rat in Houston will not only give you bad publicity, your customers and potential customers will see what kind of low life rat that you and your company is and will probably not want you on their property.

There are other cities out there where contractors are ratting out others but the worst that we have heard about is over in Houston where the contractor rats are there and trying to eliminate the competition by spying on them, taking pictures and video taping them while they are working. Seems like charges shoud be filed against the Houston Rat company for stalking and harassment.

Guys, don't be a rat.

In my city that is a misdemeanor stalking charge. You just need to call the pd and they will take care of it. And yes, if my guys suspect they are being followed, they are instructed to call the pd to report it.

It would be a shame to follow us around and be mistaken for a robber or a killer.

For the record, I was against that and let it be known. Even though I knew that no harm was going to come from it, it still wasn't right.:slap:

Yeah its funny that when it was his customers instead of mine that changed things. I was ageist it too but it proved a point.

What I love is because it was Ron and not a national org that made it different? HOW?

Ron, I knew what you were doing. You weren't trying to "defame" Jeff. But it was still the wrong thing to do.

On the other hand, it was YOUR decision to make. If you were a board member of a national org your decision to do that to another member would be tantamount to the entire membership doing it unless you stepped down immediately to let everyone know that YOU took responsibility alone for it. Mike Hilborn did that. The others who were complicit did not. As such, Mike is the only one who has any of my respect at all. He made a mistake and admitted it and did the right thing.

That's the difference.

For some reason I was thinking that the gun was a lot larger, kind of like the "Dirty Harry" type gun, a revolver that would hide like 1/2 of his leg and make him walk funny. hahahahaha

Just kidding. I know Chris is a great guy and wants to protect himself.

I wish we could carry like that here, that would change a lot of crime fast, especially when the lowlifes started dropping like flies.
