RANKIN COUNTY, MS (WLBT) -Pearl Police and emergency officials shut down Interstate 20 between Pearson Road and Highway 49 in all lanes because of a hazardous spill Monday night. MDOT says the interstate will be shutdown for at least four hours.
Officials confirm 250 to 500 gallons of hydrochloric acid have been spilled.
Bass Pro Shop, Sam's and several other businesses in the area have also been evacuated.
Be sure to stay tuned

Turns out is was a 500 gallon tank that fell off the fork lift at R&L Carriers and busted open. They are off the frontage road but they were having people in the area getting sick from the fumes emitted from the acid. USES was on scene quickly but it will be a huge bill when they get it. One local guy here that has a pw shop got broke into several years back and had 3 bags of metasillicate spilled onto dirt as well as 2 bags of STPP and it cost him 12k to get that cleaned up by USES.

All I can think of is that it is the wrong time of year to be out of a job. Any one involved with causing that is gonna be fired.
