Oil change help!

Great thread. I will be getting one of the Pela oil change pumps shortly. With one of these, I would change my oil more often as it is not easy to do it now.

We run straight 30 wt castrol down here and 30 wt ND in the pumps.

That's my brand, you copy cat. I do think castrol is the best. I'll use pennzoil if I have too

I used castrol straight 40 from the time I got my first car (bug). I think castrol is better, and straight weights are better oil. Synthetic is fantastic stuff though and worth it. That lucas oil really makes a difference also. nuff plugs

I use Royal Purple, but only because that is what the previous owner used. Anybody know of reasons NOT to use Royal Purple, other than price.

If u change your oil every month or 50hrs whichever comes first, all u need is regular Dino oil, your just wasting money with synthetic.

Motor Oil Change..

In our service dept..
we use.. you guessed it.. a vacuum to suck out the oil.
We promote the synthetic oil as best,
but don't change the oil 'til it turns brown,
..and always smell the oil when you check it..
just in case it has gasoline bleeding into it.

Thanks for sharing that one Scott, I will check the Home Depot tomorrow to see if they have it.

You are welcome guys.
If a service man uses it and recommends it must be good. Fast and a clean
