Just noticed this on the princesauto website that the 35 hp Briggs and Stratt Aircooled engine is down to $1200 from $3000.

Give you an idea this engine can power 11 gpm @ 3500 psi and a 20 amp alt to boot. Sale is in store and on till march from what it says, great deal if you are looking to build a good size setup.

Put $1000 in pumps, $50 for a fuel tank, $250 for unloader, hoses, pulley's (high estimate, but better to be high then low). $2500-2700 ish for the equipment and you just have to build the base is a pretty cheap cold water unit for this GPM.

Figured I would give those that might be interested a heads up!

That is such a shame that it is not available online, would like to get one if they could ship down south. O Well.

$100 cash and I'll pick you one up and send it to you if you want....... Best thing about Princess Auto is that you can use it and bring it back with no questions asked.

How much to ship it out of Canada down to 78415 zip code?

That is a very good deal!

It's weight dependent. Call me tomorrow if serious and I'll see if they have them in stock and their weight.

These big block engines are nice but they suck up a huge amount of gas. If you are going to build and run two pumps off this engine it might be worth it but just one pump doesnt sound like a good buy. We have mostly 18 hp engines now and our 24 hp engines burn twice the gas of the 18hp ones. I can imagine what a 35 hp will burn.

Suck a lot of gas, I have been running one for 240 hours now, if I run it between 2000-2200 rpm I find that it uses 1-1.25 liters an hour approx. Running about 5 gpm at 2000 psi the engine shudders a little when I pull the trigger, but takes it in stride and keeps going. No need to run the engine at full tilt as burner is run off a small inverter generator that uses .25 liters an hour. So to give you an idea it costs me $1.25-1.50 in gas to run the pressure washer for one person.

My partner has a 20 hp kohler that he has to run full tilt for the generator to power the burner, it uses double the gas what I do running the same gpm and psi as mentioned earlier. I would love a diesel, but to buy a 35 hp engine and setup up here is going to cost me $7-8k. It would save me $$$ in fuel, but $4-5k difference is a lot of gas and by the time the difference is made I would probably be looking at a new engine.
