cob blaster for decks ???

I am asuming that if used correctly and carefully a cob blaster would work with any wood. just would like to hear some ideas about using it on decks. There is one available for sale local here price is 4 grand, gentleman says it was used to do one house. any thoughts?

A cob blaster is a cool piece. Yet, a deck can be very thoroughly and efficiently restored with a pressure washer and a few dollars worth of the proper chemicals.

I guess certain finishes that can't be stripped off with
chem's it will work. Plus you can get into log home restoration.
do some more research first because you will not use it as much as you think
you will.

If you were using it to strip spindles it would probably be cheaper to just replace the rails. Very few finishes cant be stripped unless you are talking about paint in which case i would just walk

I have helped a friend that does cob blasting on log homes. It is a necessity to remove some finishes. Just plan on sanding a lot after. Good money if your good at it.

Interesting idea. I know cob blasting in Iowa is seen in a very favorable light as it uses a locally grown media.
