Time for healing PW industry wounds???

As some of you know I'm helping with the Vegas Parking garage Event. I would throw that all away if there was a way to heal this industries wounds. The forever bickering of "Where right your wrong" or "I'm right your wrong" etc etc etc. Is never ending here.

My father owned his own business and I come from a Union background. Most businesses hated Unions which is understandable and yet on my end was all about helping individuals-- basically to fight "The man"..

What I found out years ago is in business obviously we are "The Man" and I really hit this head on when I became a PWNA BOD at the same time I hit the pinnacle with my Union. If you thought being on these bb's was tough... I wish so of you could have sat in with me at these BOD meetings.

I was like Tony Shelton said in the past.. Looked at as first off a part timer and then of course there is my union side.. To major conflicts.

All turned out well in there because basically I have an attitude of "refusing to fail" and if that happens everything was exhausted first(union mind set again)

Why can't this industry get along?? Why can't we build on each other??

My gut says this is going to be impossible with this Industry...

How about you. Is it possible or is this Industry predestined to keep failing to get the respect we deserve?

What do you think?

You can't build on a faulty foundation. I learned that as a general contractor. If the foundation is bad it has to be removed and you start again. to do otherwise is to invite collapse. It is clear to most from what I've seen that Robert's way is a bad foundation. If you want healing then join with the effort to get this industry recognized as cleaners not polluters. Pretty simple when you think about it.

Ok that's fair enough. Besides Robert there are other issues in here which we can get to as well. But since you Tony E. Brought up Robert and this is a lightning rod at this moment in time where is it that says Robert is promoting us as polluters? I see it as Robert knowing what the EPA expects and he has found ways for us to be compliant if it just means to divert.

So let's start with that. Where is it that says Robert promotes us as polluters that is causing all the disenchantment here?

We think alike Tony.

I think everyone is pretty much tired of it at this point John, especially sine most of the guys like you and I are the bottom 25% of the contractors in the US according to Robert. We dont matter much from what I gather????

Hey Russ if that's what Robert is promoting then I surely don't agree with that. How about this.. What else can we use to connect this Industry then??

Here's one....why push local authorities at all?

John, Robert has gone off the deep end.Use this as a way to step into the shadows for a little bit. Why do you feel the need to connect this industry? Screw the industry and let every one leave every one alone.
Lolololol.. Just snorted out my vita water onto my shirt... That was to funny. Good question.
I came into this Industry alone and Not giving a dam and all these years to leave the same way I came in one day..hmmmm With all the heartache and headache if there was a poll and people were brutally honest your point here would rank at the top.. More important things in life then giving a dam about this Industry...

You know William I always respected your blunt and brutal honesty and in the grand scheme of things with homeless people etc.. Why give a dam about (your old term) hose sprayers like us...

I really don't know... Have to think about this some... Thanks for this challenge.. Right now I am stumped.

So let's start with this one....Where is it that he "Didn't" promote us as polluters? Where is it that he has stood up for us in front of regulators and said we are not polluters? Where in all of his postings has he said anything that would lead you to believe he is an advocate for our Industry? Where in any of his posts has he said anything like "Hey you might have a point, maybe I can help with that"? Where has he said "Hey there's a meeting of regulators lets get together and get some face time" or "Hey lets have a networking event and invite regulators to show them the many ways we are compliant and not a source of pollution"?..................... Saying nothing speaks volumes.

John for 3 weeks on the other thread Robert has put up a myriad of cut and paste posts, many of which had pictures that depicted anyone with a pressure washer causing something akin to a Chernobyl disaster. How is that not portraying this industry as polluters?
