I have a lady who wants to stain her 5 month old pt pine deck in a semi transparent Gray.....Has anyone done a deck in gray ? Any Pics ?

Yes I have done quite a few decks in Grey or Taupe "add some Cedar Dark".

The Slate grey has lots of pigment and holds up pretty good.

Shane I have a customer who wants their dock stained gray with a penetrating stain. What brand of stain do you recommend? Thanks

I only use the Baker's Gray Away and their grey is called Slate Grey it's a parafinic oil base stain.

Great talking with you tonight, Thanks again for your help.

Anytime Mike... I think your customer will like that Slate Grey it's a great looking color!

I 've used Shane's Taupe, and it really satisfied the customer.
Me, however, didn't really like the tone personally.
But, alot of folks prefer the slate gray, or taupe.
Especially on the Galveston side. Gray everywhere.
It applies the exact same way as any of Shane's other tones.
