    You can always do the "magnetic biz cards" arranged on your truck. People will pick one up if they are interested. On a lighter note..... If a business or HOA calls to complain about you marketing with flyers. Take it as a compliment. Your object was to get exposure and make the phone ring. Their are surely potential customers that touched your marketing campaign.

    I'd say that door flyers, or the good ol' practice of knocking on the door, are still the most simple and solid ways of generating business. Door-to-door can require a thick skin, but just be prepared for frowning faces before hand and it's water off a duck's back.
