I will, First let me say I had my rig , which is not impressive to me parked in front of the facility. The head of maintenance was there inspecting the exterior. Right place at the right time for that. He said he is taking bids and said he is not impressed when they answer the question of how may people to do the job and how will you get the peak of the roof. It is a metal roof. Many contractors said they will walk it. LOL before the Uamcc , that was my answer. I told him We have a lift, 2 guys spraying and 1 grounds person to secure the area from any one that may come near the equipment. SAFETY FIRST. The facility is concerned about lawsuits against them. I assured them of the professionalism of the Uamcc education and provided information where they can verify it. The Uamcc has helped me in that I now have more confidence in speaking to potential customers. I do not fear any questions that come my way. I can answer with confidence. If they stump me, I just say Ill get back to you. I go on the members only forum and I get my answer.
I guess it is different for everyone, No one in my family is self employed, They have the mindset of let someone pay you and let them have the headaches of running a business. Things got really slow for me at one point and I had to take a job, Walmart was the only place that would hire me. I left a job where I was making good money and driving a BMW to being self employed and using my work van as my main vehicle. My wife had to get a job to support the family. I went about it all wrong. A family member actually said when I got my walmart job," now thats better, you are back in the real world." That statement made me so MAD. I refuse to give up. REFUSE TO GIVE UP.
I am finally starting to get work via word of mouth and referrals. My wife is more at ease, She said since I joined the UAMCC things have been going smoother. Its not luck. Its a subtle change but it does help. Thats how it is helping me. You need to find your weakness and go on from there.
