Just found this on my local craigslist. I think this is a fantastic deal for someone like me just starting out (though the experts here may tell me I'm wrong). If I was financially able to, I'd definitely take a look at it and probably jump on it.

Patience, Dave, patience. lol

I'm surely no "Expert"....but yea, you're wrong. Mike is correct and I agree...Not A Fan Of Northstar. Jeff is also correct....4gpm? Those are also direct drive units.....Strike 3.

And no way in the world they'll do 200 deg......strike 4.....

Nice little 8 gpm Mi-T-M skid trailer, tank, elec. hose reel, whole she bang went off for $2,800.00 on ebay down in Fla......almost bid on it myself.

Don't make the mistakes others have made.......know your equipment, or better yet the quality of equipment.

You said it Dave, PATIENCE, there will be better deals down the road and they'll be there when you are ready....this is a great place to bring things like this, to bounce off guy's with experience. We are all here to help each other, and you can bet you will always get the truth out of these guys.

Dave coming into this business as you are i would highly suggest that you buy new.The reason i suggest new is something has been used could give you trouble right off the bat.Not saying that new would just the percentages are greater with used.If you start slow an piece it together as you go an can afford you will have many advantages. The first will be you will know your equipment once you learn it even the smallest odd noise you will be able to detect ect.Good luck with this take it slow and read about different set ups an you will find one that will work for you.
