Seal Coat Stains on Concrete

So I cleaned a grocery storefront last night and I encountered a stain that I would like some input on. The stains are from wheeling the shopping carts from a recently seal coated parking lot into the building. I hit them with my sh mix (I made sure to be very careful using this next to the asphalt and I reclaimed the water) and it did lighten some of them up but not to my standard. I'm curious to know if any of you have dealt with this before and what worked best for you? Also, I am using hot water. I didn't take pictures but I will later today.

If that was oil based seal coat, that should have come off with sodium hydroxide. Every seal coat company I know uses petroleum based seal coat. The only thing I can think of it is either scuff marks from the wheels themselves that reacted to the seal coat or the seal coat is water based, in which I never dealt with that. Or it could be a couple of the shopping carts have stuck wheels that they are being dragged across the concrete. Every time I go to walmart I end up with a cart with a stuck wheel.

I always end up with the cart with square wheels..klunk, klunk klunk,..I usually stop and pick up a stray and see if it's better,Ha,Ha,..

Ralph,..oil based would be odd around here,..the guys who do it professionally use a water based product exclusively.

* Possibly stuck wheels,..but it is lots of them, Ha,Ha,...BUT,..where are the footprints that would also have been in the wet sealer?

Columbo who?? Oh, one more thing sir,..(hand on forehead),..That actually looks like wheel marks over an extended period of time? Is this a regular account?

I don't think that they are from wet seal coat. I live in the desert and it gets upward of 115 in the summers so I think it's from the hot seal coat and the wheels skidding. Any ideas on different detergents that would work?

Sorry Andy,..when I read "Recently seal coated",..I assumed you meant it was due to wet seal coat. Either way though,..I wouldn't think seal coat,..once dry would "track"that easily,....BUT,..that's just me,..and never seen it before.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I gotta let y'all in on this secret. We've been using this stuff for years to clean up our seal coat and tar stains. These are sold in aerosol cans or in 1 gal and 5 gal jugs. What's great about it is that it's able to be diluted with water and it works on both oil based and water based sealer. Oh and their whole line is biodegradable and environmentally safe. Works great as a degreaser. They have a citrol II that I believe is a bit more potent for the industrial cleaning.

i typically wet down the area and then spray this on and let it sit for a minute or so and then spray it off

I like bumped threads when something new is learned/shared. Thanks for the input Martin, I'll have to test some out one day!

where is the best place to get it?
You can go to their website and theres a link that says find a retailer. If you want to try it out i think i remmeber then selling some cans on evay and on amazon but its only the aerosol
