The Bandit vs Maveric Soft wash Systems

I am looking ti expand into roof washing. I have found two units that interest me. Let the battle begin..Ding Ding! What is the better unit here? From what i have researched these are the top of the line compact units available. Very similar in price.

Also what is the best surfactant for roof washing. The 3 that i have seen a lot of are Cling-On, Roof-Snot, E-Z Cling.. They all seem very similar from a chem standpoint. I assume its mostly personal preference? Dose anyone have experience with all three?

I would go with Bob's unit at pressure tek. I dont know much about the delux pump but from what i have read and reviewed is people love the fatboy. The kuri tec hose is a plus as well. As for chemicals that will be a personal preference. If you buy bobs unit get a couple gallons of elemenator to try. Roof snot / cling on etc are just added to the mix to increase your hang time of the chemical you are using.

thx for the feed back! yea i have heard good things about the fatboy, it appears to be a solid unit. Its just the right size as i have a small space on my trailer to mount it. i believe that the Maverick unit is fairly new to the market so most likely dose not have a lot of field reviews yet. haha yea i just ordered some Elemenator the other day, along with some other parts form Pressure Tek. Going to try it out in my soft wash SH solution on my next job. Looks like good stuff.... i love that name to haha

Air means an Air Diaphragm pump. Of all the types of pumps out there, only Air Diaphragm pumps are CHEMICAL pumps and designed for pumping strong chemical solutions long distances. They need no bypass valves, are not nozzle size restricted (electric pumps are because of their nature) and they are easily rebuildable. Drawback to them is that you need a gas powered air compressor, so the initial price for an Air system is higher...but the long term costs due to the reliability, flexibility and rebuildability are far lower.

I echo Guys post i had a air pump the all flo 3/8 inch worked great however with the space in the box truck getting cramped,i like to be able to walk around or at least have a nice path to travel.I bought the pump in the box box from Bob already prewired an got the drop tube with it after i ordered the pump.I first had it wired to my washer battery then got the optima blue top battery an havent had any trouble so far.The biggest thing making sure you dont let it run out of solution to drink up or the prime can be lost then take a water hose an reprime it.This idea was Bobs an many have copied or tryed to duplicate it.Bob worked for several years getting the pump an stuff all bullet proof for guys like me that are mechanically challenged. Many small changes its really a nice set up to transfer chems no more red hand pumps etc.I would never buy from the powerwash store again they sell sell but if something goes bad the bs starts.
