Hello everyone,
My name is Sooner John and I am a brand new member planning to conduct business in the state of Oklahoma. I'm really excited to have access to a forum in which I can get advice from professionals in our industry. I recently obtained by business license and I am now in the process of obtaining the equipment I need to work on pressure washing jobs.
I have some questions and I hope I can get some good information to steer me in the right direction. I am trying to purchase about $20k in equipment (a 16 foot trailer weighing 8,000 lbs. with two hoses, generator, etc.). I'm dealing with a finance company which is requiring a 20% down payment. I have extremely strong credit, but was told since this is a new business they cannot waive the down payment requirement.
Did anyone have else have this kind of hurdle when getting started? Does anyone know a company that can finance 100% of needed equipment? I understand the down payment is risk-based but I also have other things to spend money on like an insurance policy (liability & equipment protection), a truck to haul the trailer, and general items I will need for the business.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from some of you. Thank you.
