Okay, I’ve been getting more and more calls for roof cleaning in my area. I don’t advertise roofs but I’ve done a few light one by down streaming chemical with only a ball valve, no pressure washing the roof.
In fixing to order the soft soft wash kit from Pressure Tek, advertise, and hit this hard. I’ve done all my research and know that a strong SH of 12.5% with the right amount of surfactant is the best route to go.
My problem is, no one in my area really sells bulk SH. They sell 55 gallon drums at around 150 bucks per drum but I can only get one at a time due to DOT law and no CDL. So, with the research I’ve done, 55 gallons would last for two roofs averaging 2000 square feet if I’m mixing at a 50/50 ratio in a 55 gallon match mixed tank, but sometimes would drop down to a 40/60 or whatever is needed for that roof if it’s a lighter one.
What do you recommend? Just keep driving over there and picking up 55 at a time? They can’t ship because it’s an 18 wheeler and he said they won’t bring those in neighborhoods. I have a good opportunity to make some money here but the chemical is holding me back. I plan on keeping 3/5 five gallon Paul’s of 13.5% loose on the trailer to if needed for spot spraying tough spots or if I run out and need it in a pinch.
