just thought I'd let you know

Congrats

I think that's a fantastic rate!!

At the risk of stepping into your personal business I'd like to know what specific areas of pressure washing you are covered in and what company wrote that coverage? If you don't want to say, that's fine, I understand.

I've been doing this stuff for over 2 decades without a claim and couldn't get close to the rate you speak of. I also shopped the hell out of it. Did you use "loss runs" to help you?

Thanks

Hey Extreme, With prices like that you've got to let us know who you got it through!!!

the price is for mainly flat work with buildings being about 5% of my work. the policy writer is western reserve, and i went through a local agent which i asked if she could write all over the country, she said no, only in ohio. but western reserve may be all over the country. the other good thing was, they seem to know our business. she had a quote for me in less than 2 hours.
if you can lower those rates, go for it.

Thanks Mike. My insurance is due later this month. Last year it was over $1000. It started out about $700 and then when the insurance co. saw Seal on the end of my named they added $350 on for that. I am afraid the rates will be going up more this year.

I to pay 4 times that much.

A little tip when shopping insurance. Ask your last 2 or 3 insurers for copies of your "loss runs" and present them to any company you're trying to do business with.

Loss Runs are important and they will help you get a better rate.

Mike:

Note sure if you broker gave you right info about company...

I just got off phone with Western Reserve and they said they didn't write liability Insurance. They did say there was another insurance company named Western that it might have been.

If you can check out your paperwork and confirm name that would help me a great deal on who to track down for a answer or quote.

Not having alot of luck with shopping around and while Joe Walters might be a good guy and all, I am more interested in getting the best price.

Thanks in advance for your help

Western Reserve, I believe only operates and grants insurance in two states. Indiana and Ohio. I could be wrong but worth checking out.

This is like, the third or fourth time I've heard of unbelievably low insurance rates in OH. I can tell you that I shopped EVERYWHERE in MI and cannot find anything less than $1,400/yr. for $1mil liability and equip. coverage.
