I have seen your replies many times throughout the years, always impressed. I wonder though, how did you gain such wisdom ??? I'm, at least I think, much your elder and been a greaser for many years, so I ask " when is MY WISDOM going surface ?
My dilemma is ; I've had a large institutional account for about 12 years, never any problems until now. The semi-annual servicing was to take place yesterday, my crew left on the 80 mi. (one way) trip to do the job only to return a couple of hours later stating they could not do the cleaning. This Univ. kitchen has 12 -24'x4' hoods each of which has been up-dated with the Intellihood systems from Melinkcorp within the past few weeks. The Univ.
Maintenance guru and the kitchen Operations Administer were present when my crew arrived But neither knew ANYTHING about the new system, nor whom I should contact .... The crew deadheaded back to the shop, stating that (my son) there was no way he could see to keep the water, etc out of those controls, sensors, etc.
Have you encountered these systems and if so how did you approach protecting the equipment from water and chems. By the way these are self wash hoods ... However the self wash system has NEVER been activated (used) since instillation 20 yrs ago?
I know I got quite long, but I sincerely thank you for any input, or re-direct, you may have.
