Welcome New Members

Hi, Im new to the board.. I've been doing a ton of research and this seems to be the best place for information by far. Basically I am starting up a new pressure washing business, hoping to be 100% operational and ready for business as of Aug. 1st. I'm starting out as a side business but with the aspiration to turn it into a full time career with the goal of being able to unleash myself from corporate america. I think I have a pretty good machine to start out with, it's a Dewalt 4GPM, 3800PSI with extra hoses, waterbroom and etc. Figure it should be a good place to start with work in the residential market with the intention as time goes on to upgrade to better equipment. I know the saying that PW's are a dime a dozen in Florida but I want to make this a career and NOT fun money/beer money.

Thanks in advance for all of the advice and information that I have already read and will read as time goes on. Perhaps one day I can contribute something back! I have also signed up for the RT here in Tampa at the end of the month!

Welcome to PWI Stan. Lots of great people on this board with TONS of knowledge... Looking forward to meeting you at the Tampa RT event. :)

Hello everyone at PWI! My name is Joe. I am glad I found this site. It looks like it will be a real pleasure getting to know you guys. I have a lot to learn and have learned a lot since joining. I am very disappointed I didn't get to make it to the round table. I heard about it just a little too late and couldn't shift my schedule. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to hearing all about the new things you have learned to improve your businesses.

Welcome Joe. I used to know another Joe, they made a song about him.:thumbup2:

Hey Nick! I submitted an estimate for the building wash and included that I would be happy to provide an estimate for the proper sealing of the pavers. I didn't want to overload the estimate, but made an offer for sealing on both on the quote and the cover page. I hope to hear back in the next couple of days otherwise I will be following up with them. I will keep you posted. I appreciate you taking the time to assist me with all of my questions.

Central Florida New User

Hey everyone this is my first post. I have been reading the forum's and looking to get into the pressure washing industry. I know that its a lot more then simple driveways I have done for my parents and our rental houses over the years. I respect what everyone in the industry does and can see how big of a difference the training and machines have over a guy with just a cold water home depot machine.

I figure the best way to do anything in the industry is to work in the field before I make an financial investment to later find out I don't like the work or there are already enough established company's in Central Florida that it doesn't make sense financially to enter the market.

I am very interested in work with and for a Central Florida Pressure washing company. If your hiring please send me an Email and I can send you a resume: JayClausen@gmail.com

Thanks and look forward to expanding my knowledge on this site.

Hi, My name is Ridge and I am new to the business. Matter of fact, I am waiting to get my rig. I am purchasing a used hot/cold Hydro Max system that has about everything that I will need. My plan is to start with residential and then work into a little commercial. I am a student and will only do this work as part-time to help with the bills. The plan is for my father to help with the business end mostly and occasionally help with the actual work. I am located in N. Mississippi. Love this site and have already gotten tons of info that should help me.
