Parking lots

Does anyone offer parking lot sweeping?

I am finding that a few of the shopping centers here have their services bundled with PWing and sweeping from the same company.

From what I see and hear those sweeping machines can cost a pretty nickel. Probably would be worth looking at if you had many commercial accounts inquire whether or not you offer it. I would not invest in this with only one parking lot to sweep. Now if you had say 6-7 customers say that they would dive in this with you and sign a yearly contract then I would proabably seriously consider it.

There is a huge variety to pick from out there. I will be bidding on 25 centers here soon. + I was not able to bid on 14 or so because of the sweeping.

mmm....sounds like you got yourself into a pretty good position there David. Get your research done by finding out how much a sweeper will run you...also check and see if you can actually rent one on a monthly basis. If so, try to get a deal with the rental yard for a good price.

Me personally, because I don't have the experience in sweeping I would not lean so far out there with an account of 25 locations. If you are looking to add another industry to your business modality....I would recommend start with a small number until you get some experience under your belt.

Because you do great work in the washing industry those other 14 accounts will be waiting for you when you are ready to walk in their direction!

The sweeping will take up all of your time. This is usually done 7days a week and if you hire someone to do it, and he damages the sweeper, that gets real exspensive. I seen these guy's out there at night when i am doing my centers, they are doing 50 mph in the center and running over speed bumps without slowing down.

I thought about it, for about a minute then i said the heck with that. I have subbed out sweeping before and got some centers from the guys sweeping. It's hard to do both unless you have a real good crew who will take care of your equipment.
