Wierd Whitish Stains On Brown Brick??

NEED HELP REMOVING WHITISH STAINS ON A BROWN BRICK WALL. WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF, WHAT CAUSES THEM & HOW CAN I REMOVE THEM? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

the white is efflorance[spelling]
it is salt that weep's out of the morter.
The shurclean 600 from prosoco should take care of it.
You can use a masonary sealer to seal the brick.

this occurs mostly on retaining walls and chimneys.


happens a lot after heavy rains or snow
