Fear the Foam!!!!!

This is a roof we cleaned in South Tampa. It was the first roof we cleaned with the Yamada NDP-15 pump. The customer was suprised with how quick we where and how clean his roof was.

Whats with the foam?

Good info Kory, thanks.

A hot mix.Mine foams also I use a 50/50 mix.

I have used as high as 80/20 mix and mine never foamed up like that even with alot of sufactant added to the mix?

Nice job Kory!!! My Tile Roofs do the same thing. It always helps when the Roof is HOT and your mix is HOT as well...Same here with the Dawn. How did you do on gallons for that Tile Roof? Keep up the good work. :)

Old timers just dont get it! LOL! no that mix was 55 gallons on 10.5% and 60 gallons of water and 1 jug of dawn (sams club) I use plastic tips 40 deg 10gpm the pump is 12 gpm 90 psi at the head

I got your old timmer right here!!:p

Remember to rinse that Yamada Poly Pump out right away Kory ?
And cover it when not in use from the Sun's Ultraviolet Rays
Spray the Bolts with Teflon Spray is also a good idea ?
Drain your air compressor DAILY too :)
Use Mobil One Synthetic Oil in the compressor.

Hey Kory try a 3/4 garden hose with a plastic garden sprayer.....

my old video shows it in action.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_prTHxJ7JQ

ya gotta love the pump!
Keep up the good work!
Hello Jeffrey :)
It is funny that people I teach to clean roofs that come from Pressure Washing backgrounds seem to not like the bigger hose sizes
I guess when you are used to that small 3/8 pressure washing hose, 1/2 inch feels "big" to you, and 5/8 or 3/4 diameter monstrous ?
Plus, it takes a BIG hose reel to hold a bunch of 5/8 or 3/4 too.
Many just haven't the room for that size reel.

After owning/building many true Hot Rods I ran at the strip, streetable cars were always a compromise to me.
You know, they had to idle w/o overheating/fouling plugs, so I was limited to the amount of duration on my Camshafts for the street.
Plus the high lift Cams I love for the track are hard on valves/springs for the street.
I think you optimize your set ups for the majority of the cleaning you do.
Almost all the guys on the RCIA forum use 5/8 hose.
But they are mainly roof cleaners, and want the fastest way to clean a roof.
No, roof cleaning is not a race.
But I want to get on, and OFF a roof ASAP.
Kinda limits my exposure to chemicals ;)
Plus, the less tiome I spend on a roof, the more time I have to take care of plants, and sell some more Jobs :)
