God does work in Weird Ways

About 3 months ago I did a job for a Builder. It was a small job. I just pressure washed 2 garages and 2 front porches. I charged him $100 for it. Well I haven't seen the money for it yet.

Well last week I was seriously injured in a BMX bike crash where I had to go to the hospital and they had to do emergency surgery to remove my splein because I busted it. So I can't do any heavy lifting for 2-3 months and I'm pretty much not able to do anything remotely hard for a month.

Well I have a full time job moving Pool Tables. Needless to say I can't do that for a while. It was the job that was bankrolling my business. And I just spent the last of my money fixing up my Pressure Washer some more. I do have 1 more pay check coming in. So that will be nice. But now I am very restricted with my money.

Yesterday in the mail what do I recieve. The pay check to my jobs I did for the builder. What perfect timing. It isn't much but it put a sigh of relief into me.

As for the pressure washing business. I don't get many jobs but what jobs I do get I give to a buddy of mine who takes care of it. He is on college break so it earns him some extra cash. I taught him the basics and when he does the work I split the check with him half and half. So I'm ok there.

But like I said. God can work in weird ways. I'm glad that check came in late.

This is when we should help each other out......

This is when we should help each other out......

I will be the first.....I am not taking pity on you but feel your pain. Personally you being a fellow pw, any tips we get from our customers we will be sending your way. Email me your address and I will do my part to help you out. We do not get too many tips but sometimes we get an extra $20 or so. But again, if you email me your address, I will forward any tip your way. I hope you are up and on your feet as soon as possible.

And your right.....God, does work in mysterious ways......And I believe he is watching out for you.

P.S. Also include who we make a check payable too.

Nah man. Don't worry about it. I appreciate it.

I live with my parents. I have no financial burden set upon me. No truck payemnt nor insurance. I'm very lucky. My equipment is paid for. And I have $500 in paychecks from my old job coming to me. So I am ok. I was also still under my parents insurance. Thank God I did this before I turned 21 this June 24. Other wise I'd be stuck with a $100k hospital bill. (You know that staying just staying in ICU cost $10k a day.) That is probably not including the freaking Morphine I took. I probably sucked down 10 gallons of that stuff.

After 2 months I have my old job back gauranteed. I've already discussed it with my boss. So I have no worries. To tell you the truth I'm kind of taking a 2 month vacation. For my birthday we are going to Savannah and Tybee island to chill. So obviously I have no worries.

I'm fine with my business. My buddy is doing my work and I'm splitting the profit half and half. And I'm fixing to put out a bunch of flyers and do some advertising in different markets. So I will be ok.

But I do appreciate the Generosity but there are people in much more dier need than me who need charity. Think about the guys out there trying to start this business and have kids, wife, or divorced with kids. They have it much more tougher than I do. I"m just grateful things turned out the way they did.

Smittie you've got a great attitude and it will take you far in life...
Get well soon and enjoy your unplanned vacation!

I've got to hand it to you, Smittie, you've definately got what it takes... Hang in there, brother, and get well soon.

Thanks for the support

Financially I am in no worry. In fact it actually gave me some time to think things over in my life.

In a couple of months when I get back to working on Pool Tables I plan on trying to put myself through night school and get my EMT that way I can become a firefighter. It would be perfect for my business. Having so many days off and planned days at that so I can do firefighting for 24hours and pressure washing the 48 I have off. or maybe it is the other way around.

But the main thing is I need health insurance. If I didn't have it under my parents plan (My dad is retired Air Force so I am covered until I turn 21 this 24th) I'd be stuck with a $100k hospital bill and I'd probably be more than glad to except any penny I could get. There goes that Ferrari I've been wanting.

Also when I get back to working I'm going to start getting lawn equipment. Such as commercial mowers ect. And do both Pressure Washing and Lawn Care the next spring. That way I have consistant work and it will allow me to build my name up. Which is the biggest thing about pressure washing it seems to me. Some of the larger guys don't even advertise.

Besides if your going to donate your money. Send it to the boys in Iraq and Afganistan who really need it. Get them some body armor or something. Or to the widows of the fallen soldiers. Or better yet. If you see a soldier in a bar. By that man a drink. Or if your at a strip club. Get him a table dance. There are more important things in this world than pressure washing.
