13hp or 22hp for ts2021

I always take the gpmxpsi/100. It gets me close every time with a little room for error.

So a 5.6 pump at 3500 psi means it needs about 19.6 hp.
A 4 gpm at 4000 psi needs a 16 hp engine.

But that is not even close to a perfect calculation.

Most people want to stretch their investment for performance,
..so “running Hot & hard”
is “
modus operandi.”

And the reason most “Do-IT-YourSelfers” fail at reliability AND Long-Term-Low-Cost.
Scott is conservative, allowing the machines to work little easier,
..and much more successful than a do-it-your-selfer.

I like to see machines and tools last, and be reliable, for Long-Term-Low-Cost.

..a Sustainable relationship with equipment is what any raceTeam expects and strives for.
..The Truest path to Strength, is ALLways the Elimination of Weakness.

I do NOT recommend pushing the General TS2021 pump past 1550rpm, as the seals won’t last,
the rods will stretch to eventual failure, and the plungers will fail from cavitation before the seals can fail naturally.. at $40 each x 3, and in some cases.. every time.
Why not “Let it live” at a more sustainable rate, and maintain a maintenance program ?
Appreciate the equipment as a “beneficial tool”, and show respect to workmanship.
