Advice on Cleaning a Dark Composite Deck

One of my regular window cleaning customers asked me to take a look at her composite deck. It definitely has some type of mold or algae growing on it. It is kind of weird because it is on the east side of the house and does get sun. I tried to remove a little with my window cleaning solution and a scrub pad. It was stubborn, but did seem to come off. The woman did not know who manufactured the material, but said it was less than 8 years old.

I have done some newer composite decks successfully in the past with a light house wash mix and a soft rinse. I am inclined to try the same on this one (after doing a test spot). I read @Everett Abrams post about setting the record straight on composites. I have never done anything with oxalic acid in the past. Not sure if it would be a good or bad idea to try it on this one.

I have two concerns with this job.
1. Possibly washing out the color on this deck.
2. Having dark spots left behind where the growth was on the deck.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
