Advice On Selling Trailer Setup

Hey guys, I am considering selling my rig and using the proceeds to buy a new trailer and convert over to an 8 gpm setup and add a roof setup. My question is what do you think I can get for this setup listed on here, Craigslist and eBay?

Everything is just over 5 years old and has been garaged kept except for 2 years where I had it parked in a boat lot with a tarp over it.

Trailer: tires and brakes are nearing half life at 60% tread and brakes remaining. Trailer lights and jack are new. Trailer has never been painted and needs sanding and painting. The floor is still in pretty good shape with a couple small holes in the wood where I had a chlorine leak.

Pressure washer: Vanguard 18 hp with a 3,500 psi TS-2021 pump. It starts and runs good. the marine battery in a box would go with the trailer. The vertical burner has 311 hours on it and I don't know how many hours on the engine. The burner had new wiring last year. This vanguard has had a small oil leak since birth and last year replaced every gasket on the engine after a bad leak. Now it only has its regular small oil leak where I have to add 1/4" on the dipstick each week. The muffler is pretty rusty and will need replacing soon. The TS-2021 pump was replaced two years ago and had new seals and valves added a month ago. The attached K-7 unloader is new and would be included. Both engine and pump have been serviced regularly including oil changes. The V-belts are less than a year old. The skid that holds everything together is getting rusty and needs painting. The back corner next to bleach tank shows more corrosion.

If I can't get much for it, I will likely just keep it for a second rig. Just don't have a place to park a second rig and would prefer to start again with fresh equipment. The small cold water unit in the front corner will not be included in the sale nor will any thing else on trailer. For trailer and hot water skid, what do you think I could get for it (or price it at)? The pics in the garage were taken tonight. The outdoor pics were taken 9 months ago and will take new ones once back outside. Thanks for any advice!

I'm thinking you can get around $3000 to $4000 for everything. Maybe a little more if you're to paint the trailer. I would just keep it as backup unit personally though.

I think the other are spot on. I'm sure Greg has a better idea then some of us on price considering he is also from Florida. If you do decide to sell it I would put sanding and painting at the top of the to-do list before listing it for sale, you may be surprised at the results a little paint can bring. Also weigh how much money you may loose if your new unit goes down for whatever reason and you don't have a backup. If you don't need to sell this rig in order to buy another I would figure out the storage situation and keep it as a back up, may just save the day or a rather large job.

Keep it David... You'll make way more money with it than you could ever sell it for. Plus, the backup unit will save you time and money should something ever happen to the main rig. Nothing more frustrating than having to reschedule or having down time due to equipment issues.

Great advise = potentially + Thousands of $!!

Thanks guys. I was thinking that if I could get around $2,900 I would let it go and use the proceeds towards a new skid and trailer. My main problem is that I don't have a place to park the other rig just yet but I am looking around at options for that. It would be nice to have a second rig someday. Thanks again for you opinions!!

If you do decide sell it you'll want to mention that it is a dually that's a plus. I didn't see that in the description, just FYI.

David I would trade my John Blue roof pump for the skid. I also have another JB for a parts pump that would come with it. I don't do enough roof anymore to warrant the gas powered pump.It sprays like a male cat and has been well taken care of I just put on a new gas tank and pressure regulator.

Scott, I may end up selling it this spring (late Feb - early March) but would need cash to buy new trailer with 8 gpm hot water skid. I will be smoothing down the rusty areas of my trailer and skid and painting it this spring to make it look real good.

David I'm interested in the trailer. Still selling it. Trailer alone?

Hey Jason. Yes, I still may be selling the trailer in a month or two. I will need a bigger one to handle all the new roof cleaning equipment that I just bought. Call me this week.
