Any ideas

I want to put the following in a long bed crew cab F250

125 gallon tank
2 8pm machines
2 pressure reels
2 supply reels
2 surface cleaners
24' ladder
32' ladder
50 gallon chem tank

Any one got any pics or thoughts? I am tired of having to unhook my trailer in front of apartments and then hook back up to move to the next. My bread truck is perfect but note enough room for the guys to out at night to eat or whatever. I would like to send the bread truck and this new truck on road trips.

125 gallon tank next to the cab, buy 2 poly belt drive washers and mount in front of tank, chem tank turned sideways next to the washers (I think a 35 will fit better though)mount the reels on the side of the bed - 2 on one side one on the other and l a full ladder rack for the ladders. EASY!

Here is a pic of the type of washer setup, you can mount two of these easier that the regular belt drives that mount sideways

That is kind of like what I am going to do later this year but just one hot water skid, tank hose reels, etc...

They make skinny tanks that takes up less room and would be perfect so everything would fit in the truck bed.

I am thinking of getting a flatbed to replace the regular bed and maybe some helper springs to help hold the weight without sagging too much, I have seen it done here but with small 4gpm hot water skids, tank, reels, etc....

Next time I see them working at nite I will take some pictures and post them.

Ladder rack from he** ? Hang your reels from it......we've had a 225 tank, hot water skid, hoses, etc in the back. We didn't have the rack either. Ask Jon....he helped put it together and take it apart enough!

Is polychain only from gates? Do you have just one belt?

You get a lot higher tension the shorter the belt, I wonder how much side-load there is on that setup?

Get square tanks from an rv site they have every dimension you can think of and they save room. Tall, skinny hose reels.

I have an older one that is a back up unit, 6 years old and yes, single belt and the belt is very short and its from Gates as well.:yeah:

Great unit!

I like that smiley, I'm not sure how it fits in? Those belts are like lifetime right? I looked on the gates site and they have an on line belt calculator. With the real short belts I was looking at the pull was like 400 pounds, I wonder if thats way out of line? The inch and a half belts could do like 50 and more horsepower, pretty slick setup.

William couldn't you just throw a tarp over the rig at night? I am fixing to build 2 trucks like this for next year. I was thinking 3/4 ton Cummings or duramax for the fuel mileage and removing the standard beds. Adding steel beds with custom ladder racks to hang the reels from. From there it would seem you could just put a tarp over it at night with a heater in there...... My concern is weight.....2 cold machines 250 gal buffer and chemical tanks...Is that to much for everyday driving. Plus 100 gal of Sh..... I wouldn't plan on hauling water but you know every once in while you just do.....

if you get either a cummins or duramax either get pre-emissions crap or do the deletes asap. I did them on my 6.7 and get 20-22 in town just stop and go. EGR Cooler, EGR, DPF, all of gone
