Auto pump out that will work under vacuum

I have searched the forums for a model number or brand name of a sump pump that will operate under vacuum in a barrel. The one I have currently works just fine, I just have to turn off the vac to drain the barrel. Everything else on my system works great.

We're doing larger and larger areas lately and I want to eliminate this unnecessary downtime.

Do you have a check valve in the outlet side of the pump??

Yes, I do have a 1" PVC check valve. It is located on the outlet of the pump and is also inside the barrel.

hmmm mine works fine under vacuum. I use a semi trash pump with 3 inch legs on it instead of the traditional sump pump. I also have another one that has a float switch inside the tank with the pump outside it. you might try that
