What's the best oil for the pump? Just any 30w non detergent?

I have used regular 30wt non-detergent, what I have been told by many in the field and mechanics.
With the Hotsy, I have used their brand of oil (expensive) because of warranty issues, on the bottle it mentions it has De-oxidizer, anti-wear and Rust inhibitor additives so I stick with it until the warranty runs out then I run the inexpensive stuff.
I know lots of guys that have run regular, store bought straight 30wt non-detergent for many, many years in their pumps so I do the same in mine except the Hotsy.
