Blowing out backwards?

Will it do any harm to blow out my stuff from the end of my high pressure hose. The nipple of my air compressure blower attachment fits into the male qc end on the high pressure hose. This is the opposite direction of the normal water flow so could that cause any problem?

Evacuating a pump with air, to protect from freezing.

a pressure actuated unloader has an outlet check valve which would impair backflow at that point.
you wouldn't want rust-flakes from the heater-coil flowing back into the pump system anyway.
Install a quick coupler between the unloader and the heater inlet, and flush forward, out the heater to evacuate a horizontal style heater.
Verticals.. just let 'em drain out the inlet with hose detached from outlet, and inlets.
Blow hoses out separately.
And the pump..
If you have it plumbed for pressure-feeding, blow forwards, through the pump inlet to outlet of the unloader, with connect hose off the heater inlet.

Just to be clear.. the context of the term "blow" in this thread.. is to use compressed air.
I wouldn't want to think someone could cut a lip on a pipe fitting.
..kids do the darnedest things.

Daniel, get a camlock nipple that will fit where you tank hookup is, and reduce it down to 1/4" for your air fitting.
